I need some input..

AP allows a 200BB buy in. Whats my next move when the bankroll reaches $2000 ?

Do I -

1) stay at .25/.50 and start buying in for 200BB ($100)

2) move up to .50/$1 and buy in for 100BB ($100)

The skill level is SO bad at .25/.50 and the extra cash on the table can be useful to increase the winrate yet with my eye on climbing the ladder of games until I find a challenging level should I stick with the orignal plan and buy in 100BB at .50/$1 ?

Any thoughts ?

Bankroll now $1700 just over 7000 hands.

Get off a site that has software that allows cheating.

I recommend FTP or Pokerstars, each of which I believe have decent starting bonuses and which can provide rakeback....

That aside, hope it's going well!

I would stick with the plan of moving up to .5/1 when you have 20 BI. I would play for 100 BB to start, but once you establish yourself there you could feel safe in buying in deeper.

Subzero - I understand the feeling of players against playing at AP. The moral issue of giving rake to this site is still nagging me. I have addressed this issue in a recent post.

The problem is that there are the worst players i have ever seen there. Ive played FT for a few years around the lower levels. My PT/PAHud has never shown the numbers that i am getting at AP. i regularly sit at a table with 3-4 70/5/1 ish players. My winrate should probably by higher than 15BB/100 to be honest. Its hard to leave such fish filled waters + rakeback + bonus.

My FT account has no rakeback but im working on that. Once that is fixed i will play a bit more there again.

I also have an old Stars account which i may reactivate.

Gnome - I think I agree with you about moving up. I will use the max buy in at .25/.50 if at any time I cant find a decent .5/1 table.

Thanks for the comments.

Sorry Ryver, didn't read the older post til afterwards!
Hope the moving up plan is going well, and you're still enjoying the game? Don't forget as long as you are willing to drop down in limits if things go badly then there's no problem in taking a shot at the higher stakes as soon as you feel prepared enough...
